Business Controller

We are currently looking for a Business Controller (32/40 hours), a new position in our international finance team based in Amersfoort.

What will you do?

The finance function of EWT’s activities in North America and North Europe is managed out of our HQ in Amersfoort. The finance function in South Europe and Asia is locally organised, with local finance teams in these regions.  The Business Controller is part of the team in Amersfoort and reports directly to the Group Controller of EWT.

As Business Controller you will play an important role in the monthly management reporting, financial analyses, project control activities and the budgeting/reforecasting processes. Your role is pivotal in understanding our business in all our regions. In addition you will be involved in projects, which may vary from supporting strategy and business development, M&A transactions or other special projects.

As this is a new position you have the opportunity to be involved in further defining the role in practice.

Your main focus will be on:

  • Monthly analysis of the group’s results
  • Preparation of the annual budget and ad-hoc business cases
  • Preparation of the monthly management report
  • Project control (including periodic reviews and margin analysis versus project budget)
  • Develop management reports and BI tooling

What do you bring?

  • Relevant MSc degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a business control role
  • Strong analytical skillset
  • Team player
  • Living and working in the Netherlands, preferably close to Amersfoort
  • Dutch & English speaking
  • Good communicator, planner and organiser
