Mark Jonkhof
Executive Director

Mark Jonkhof joined EWT in 2015 as Executive Director. He started his career in 1995 at Philips Electronics in the field of industrial automation and manufacturing. In 2004 Mark switched to the Wind Industry and worked 11 years for General Electric. Between 2008 and 2012 Mark held full engineering responsibility for the successful implementation of GE’s Multi Megawatt platform and from 2012 to 2015 he led all Wind Technology Research at GE Global Research in Niskayuna, NY (USA).

Michiel Fornier
Executive Director

Michiel Fornier is responsible for EWT’s corporate development activities, focusing on M&A, strategic partnerships, new business activities and public affairs and – relations. In addition Michiel is responsible for managing the company secretary function, acting as secretary to the Management Board. Between 2013 and 2018 Michiel was EWT’s general counsel and held full responsibility for EWT’s legal and corporate affairs.

Michiel joined EWT in 2011 in the legal department. He started his career as an attorney in 2002 with a practice focusing on IP, corporate and commercial advice and – litigation and M&A. Michiel holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Brett Pingree
Country Manager – North America

Brett Pingree joined EWT in 2021 as Country Manager of the North American market after successfully developing C&I solar projects in America for the previous four years. Previous to developing PV solar projects,  Brett was Head of Business Development for EWT. Brett began his career in renewables with Northern Power Systems in 2004 and has held various senior roles in Commercial Executive leadership and Business Development at Endurance Windpower, Dynapower, and EWT over the years. Brett has a degree from the University of Vermont as well as advanced leadership and business coursework undertaken at Boston College.

Filippo Solci
Country Manager – Italy

Filippo Solci, graduated with a degree in Engineering from the University of Bologna and began his career in dealing with issues of environmental impact of energy infrastructure at CESI in 2001. He joined Edison in 2004 to design and develop wind farms. In 2008 he became responsible of wind farms permitting and development for ERG Group in Italy and later on for all the wind assets owned by ERG as Business Operation Manager.

Filippo has over 18 years of experience in the energy field, Asset Management, Development, Investment Evaluation, Construction, Operation and Maintenance renewable power plants in the Italian market. Management of more than 1 GigaWatt of power Capacity. Supervision of development and asset management teams, from technical-engineering to business evaluation and has a significant track record of developing business.

He joined EWT in 2017 and focused on the development of the startup of the EWT Italian branch. At the moment he is consolidating the work done in the past 1,5 years.

From 2019 Filippo is member of the board of Anie Rinnovabili, national association part of Confindustria.

Martin Dijkstra
Director Operations

Martin has joined EWT in 2011 as Global Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for the execution of projects. This includes manufacturing, procurement, logistics, warehousing and project management. Before this, Martin initiated and set up EWT’s blade production facility in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Before joining EWT Martin spend 19 years in global telecommunication infrastructure companies. Martin holds a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Alkmaar and an MBA from the university of Bradford.

Rob van de Veerdonk
Director of Sales and Business Development

Rob van de Veerdonk joined EWT in 2007. Since then Rob has been leading EWT’s global sales, marketing and business development activities, resulting in more than 500 spinning turbines worldwide and EWT being a recognized market leader in the medium wind sector. Rob now mainly focuses on business development and sales in North Europe, Arctic and remote areas. In addition Rob leads the sales engineering team of the EWT Group, supporting the various regions. Prior to EWT Rob held various roles in the industry of automated materials handling systems and was the Commercial Director at Figee, manufacturer of harbor cranes.
