September 2020 – Following the successful installation of two 50m wind met masts in Central Greece, EWT and CRES have started calibrating the site where the certification process of its new IEC wind class I platform DW54X-1000kW will take place.
Before installing and starting the tests on the prototype, one of the masts measures and records wind data over a 3-month period at the exact position of the wind turbine. After this period the mast will be dismantled and the foundation for the wind turbine will be constructed. The second mast will stay on site and continue taking readings during a 12-month measurement period. EWT expects to have the prototype installed within 2020 in order to have it fully certified in the course of 2021.
EWT is happy to work on this project with its Greek partners Aigaioelektriki, CRES and Istos Ananeosimes.
