EWT signs first order in France

March 16, 2020

Emergya Wind Technologies (EWT) has signed its first order in France for the supply of 6 of its DW54-40-900kW turbines for a repowering project in Bretagne. In addition EWT has agreed on a comprehensive service and maintenance agreement for the wind farm. EWT will set up a maintenance base in Bretagne to ensure that the turbines will function to the best of their abilities.

As EWT’s first order in France, this event marks an important step for EWT. France has a lot of areas where hub height or tip height restrictions apply and EWT has a very diverse range of turbines in terms of rotor diameters and hub heights which makes EWT turbines an ideal fit for many new or repowering sites in France. EWT turbines offer an attractive solution for height restricted projects, with high yields and high technical availability.

Andrea Bartolini, Head of Business Development Southern Europe with EWT: “I am delighted with the award of this contract to EWT and we are looking forward to work closely with our client and its excellent team. We look forward to our wind turbines providing long term cost effective power in France.”
