EWT Systems B.V. (EWTS) is proud to announce the first wind turbine has left its headquarters in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, marking yet another successful milestone in the company’s corporate restart strategy, ahead of its sixty (60) day target.

Following the execution of an asset purchase agreement on April 17, 2025, the consortium made up of Northern Energy Capital, GreenCat Renewables and Northern Power Systems launched EWT Systems B.V., enabling the best-in-class megawatt-scale wind turbine platform to continue to serve communities, governments and commercial customers in the achievement of clean energy targets across the global marketplace.

EWTS’ Managing Director, Martin Dijkstra with EWTS’ Shareholder Malek Tawashy and EWTS’ assembly team in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

“The shareholders of EWT Systems extend our sincere gratitude to the entire distributed wind energy market for supporting us in this transitional period. Our customers, suppliers, service providers and of course management team and staff have shown tremendous dedication to this platform which allows us to continue to make this exciting, versatile and robust technology available to the global distributed wind energy market”, says Malek Tawashy (Northern Energy Capital).

“We’re delighted to be part of the restart of this great company and excellent product, and are proud to have met this first milestone ahead of target. We’re looking forward to see more of these turbines rolling out the factory doors  soon”, says Gavin Catto (GreenCat Renewables).

“These first 60 days confirmed the continued demand for the EWTS’ wind turbine for distributed energy and on-site demand projects. With multiple orders signed and a solid pipeline to convert, we’re excited to be part of EWTS servicing customers with the best-in-class wind turbine and related services around the globe”, says Reinout Oussoren (Northern Power Systems).

Building on 20 years of product innovation, the 250kW to 1MW platform offered by EWT Systems serves a distinct niche in the wind energy sector. Focusing on distributed energy generation, the EWTS platform serves both on-grid and off-grid project owners and developers, behind-the-meter commercial and institutional customers as well as remote and isolated micro-grid operators. EWTS’ turbines are engineered to operate in extreme climates—from the icy expanses of Alaska and northern Canada to the windswept terrains of Antarctica. This versatile, easy to deploy and highly reliable platform gives EWTS a competitive advantage in the most challenging applications within the distributed wind energy sector.

Martin Dijkstra, Managing Director of EWT Systems BV adds: “Despite the necessary rightsizing of the organisation, the core team, expertise, and mission remain intact. This continuity ensures that EWTS retains its deep institutional knowledge, long-standing customer relationships, and technical excellence, whilst benefiting from the added industry knowledge and relationships of our new shareholders.”
